Wow Big Big surprise on landing at San Jose Airport for the first time in last 5 years.. the airport got nice face lift and looked awesome... Hope it got some nice food options though....

But no complaints.. convenient location and state of the art building with free WiFi..

Downtown San Jose

Interesting... frankly speaking, even though I say I lived in the Valley for 3 months and had several visits even after that, this is the first time being in downtown San Jose...:)

Marriott Hotel was awesome - had nice welcoming toys for kids and clean and modern.. Nice gym, even washing machines...

San Jose 하숙방

What You See Is What You Get처럼.. 보이는게 전부입니다..(세면대와 변기 있는 작은 화장실 하나 옆에 딸려 있음)

물론 지금은 마눌님께서 시골로 돌아가셔서 살림도 팍 줄고 훨~ 깨끗하지만..(^^)

나름 만 2개월 20일을 묶었던 하숙방 되시겠다... 참고로 Ann Arbor 우리집 Two Bed Apart Rent보다 $1비쌈..(물론 2끼의 식사 및 빨래, 기타 Utility가 포함은 되어 있지만서도..^^)

비록 방이 좁아서, 매트리스도 싱글사이즈라 마눌 왔을땐, 본인은 원래 신분에 맞게 바닥에서 주무셔도 주시는 생활도 3주 했지만, 회사도 차로 10분내로 갈수 있어 가깝고, 맘 좋고 음식 솜씨 좋으신 주인 할머니 덕분에 편하게 지냈던것 같음..

그래도 이런방이 어디야 하는 고마움도 느꼈고, 가끔은 넘 좁은것 아닌가 하는 답답함도 있었지만, 이제 이 방에서 오늘밤을 포함해 두밤만 지나면 방을 나가야한다고 생각하니 섭섭함이 가슴 한편으로 밀려온다.


퇴근길에 눈이 부셔서 손으로 눈위를 덮고 운전하며 지나가던 El Camino Real이여 잘있거라.. 산책하러 갔다 몇번 들렸던 한국사람많은 Starbucks여 돈많이 벌고.. 감동적이었던 궁전 BBQ 번성하시고.....

Haircut in Sunnyvale

앤아버에선 나름 머리를 고리기가 어렵다..-_-;
즉, 한국 미장원이 두 군데 있으나 한군데는 freeway를 타고 나가야 하고 비싸기 때문에 보통 가는곳으로 가서 천편 일률헤어스턀을 유지해야 했다..

그러나.. 여긴 거의 한인타운 상가마다 머리하는 곳이 있어 고민하다가 그냥 ^^ 제일 가까운데 가서 했다...

머리가 송태섭 머리가 되었다..-o-; 옆은 바짝 치고 위에 조금 남겨 놓는 스턀... 일명 교포 머리...

암튼 시원하니 좋군..^o^;

Earthquake

Small quake jolts south Santa Clara County

South Santa Clara County residents greeted the morning with a jolt, a small 4.7-magnitude earthquake centered six miles east of San Martin.

The shock, which hit at 5:24 a.m., lasted a few seconds and was felt as far south as King City and as far north as the Golden Gate Bridge, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Since then, there have been at least six small aftershocks, the largest registering 2.5 magnitude, that probably went unnoticed by most.

``If people are in a quiet Location free of vibration and noise they can feel something smaller,'' said John Bellini, a geophysicist with the USGS in Golden Colorado.

Police in nearby Morgan Hill say there have been no reports of injuries or damage.

Summer Internship Week 3

이제 슬슬 정신없이 돌아가고 있숩니다..

가끔은 회사에서는 심심하고 외롭다는 생각도 들지만..^^ 나름 영어도 더 느는 것 같고, 일하는 재미도 그럭저럭 솔솔한듯 해서 한번 버텨볼랍니다...^o^;
